Preparing for My Consult
Consultation with Dr. Robinson is by appointment only. Our phone number, 817- 461-1693, is answered 24 hours a day. Business hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2-5 p.m., and on Wednesdays from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Our office is located at 1000 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012-3232.
To facilitate your initial visit, we have prepared a detailed Patient History form that must be completed. It will be more accurate and convenient if you print it and fill it out at home.

Your first visit: Please bring a list of your current prescriptions, amounts and dosages, including diet pills, aspirin, herbs and supplements. No surgery will be performed on your first visit; the consultation is very important. Extra time is scheduled to allow for the required forms and for Dr. Robinson to evaluate your detailed history and perform a physical. It takes time to get to know you well enough to understand and evaluate your needs. Then “Dr. Chili” will explain the options and procedures and answer your questions as we work out a program for you.
Due to the amount of information that we cover, bringing children usually distracts you from the full benefit of the consultation.
Scheduling: At your initial consultation another visit might be scheduled, giving you the additional opportunity to ask questions and clarify anything you may not understand. Plan to be seen after your surgery. Postoperative visits (care directly related to surgery) are included in the surgical fee. Surgery is done on an outpatient basis, and you can return to the comfort of your home once you are awake and stable. You MUST HAVE A RESPONSIBLE ADULT care for you the first night.
As you think about planning for the surgery, please think about who will care for you, how to take time away from your usual duties, travel plans, and bring your appointment calendar. For example, with a breast augmentation, it takes about one week until you are able to lift 15 pounds (even your infant can exceed that).
Fees & Financing: For your convenience, we accept credit and debit cards (but NOT American Express). We also have independent financing. Fees include the surgeon, accredited ambulatory surgery, nurse anesthetist, and follow-up care. Not included are medications, special garments, and services such as a visiting nurse. At the time of scheduling, at least 10 percent is due. The balance is to be paid one week in advance of the surgery date. There is a 10 percent cancellation fee to defray the costs of the personnel, lost surgery time, and materials.
Insurance: Insurance is not accepted, as cosmetic expectations and the degree of expertise are not covered. Reconstructive procedures are routinely performed, but outside insurance coverage. With some companies, we can get your insurance to cover the operating room, anesthesia and lab. We will help you file insurance but full payment is expected before the surgery. Reimbursement from insurance (if any) will go directly to you.
Medicare: We do not take Medicare reconstruction cases. If there are cosmetic concerns, these are not covered nor are the fees fixed by Medicare. Of course, we are able to perform these surgeries, but you will not be able to file a Medicare claim as the procedure will be for cosmetic reasons.
Surgery: We perform all cosmetic surgical procedures, including facelifts, tummy tucks, and liposuction as an outpatient. Depending upon your anesthesia, surgery might be performed in our AAAASF-accredited ambulatory surgery center, which is equipped for IV sedation anesthesia. The facility is not approved for Medicare coverage. The facility fee is due in advance. For general anesthesia, we go to the nearby Health South Ambulatory Day Surgery.
Emergency Care: Emergency care for our established patients is available 24 hours a day. Should you experience any difficulties, call the office at 817-461-1693. A call during the day may avoid a late-night emergency room visit or search for an open pharmacy.
Our Staff: We take pride in providing our patients with excellent and thoughtful medical care in comfortable surroundings. You can be assured we are completely dedicated to your health. Our staff members are efficient and knowledgeable about procedures and insurance information. We make confidentiality one of our primary concerns. We are known as “the nicest folks in town.” |
